ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING EXCLUSIVE BREAST MILK IN INFANTS AGED 0-6 MONTHS

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemberian ASI Eksklusif merupakan salah satu sumber nutrisi penting bagi bayi. ASI diciptakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan bayi yang dilahirkan oleh seorang ibu. ASI Eksklusif adalah proses pemberian makanan bayi berupa ASI saja tanpa makanan tambahan lain sampai bayi berusia 6 bulan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tehnik purposive sampling dengan 100 ibu dipilih. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan pewawancara antara Mei dan Agustus 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pengetahuan (p value = 0.000,OR = 15.921); pendidikan (p value=0.281;OR=1.563); pendapatan (p value=0.004,OR=3.375); pekerjaan (p value=0.000, OR=0.179); dan sikap (p value=0.000, OR=14.609). Kesimpulannya ada pengaruh faktor pengetahuan, pendapatan, pekerjaan, dan sikap sikap berhubungan signifikan dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan. Menyusui memiliki efek penting dalam kehidupan anak. Optimalisasi ASI dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi dan promosi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu, sehingga ibu memiliki sikap dan perilaku positif dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan.
