MODIFIKASI DIET PADA PASIEN HOME CARE DENGAN TB PARU

Abstrak

ackground :TB can be affected by malnutrition, characterized by loss of free fat mass, including individuals with obesity or overweight, similar to Non-Communicable Disease (NCDs) TB also indicator of malnutrition is by using the Body Mass Index (BMI). Low BMI values are associated  with the development of latent TB infection into active TB. Objective: To Implent standardized nutritional care and modify diet to increase energy and nutrient intake and the patients”s nutritional status. Method : The research design a case study of home care patient at RSUD Gambiran Kediri City by providing a modified TETP diet to pulmonary TB Patient. Data collection was carried out through observation and document study with the instruments used, namely MST (Malnutrition Screening Tools) and NRS (Nutrition Risk Screening) and Nutrition Care Process (NCP). Data analysis was carried out descriptively and data presentation with tabulation. Results : The results of the case study research on the initial nutritional screening of patients are at risks of malnutrition, with a BMI score in the category of severe underweight, energy and nutrient consumption levels in the category of severe deficit. A modification of the TETP diet was carried out by providing hospital formula liquid food as morning and afternoon snacks, from a physical perspective patients feel fitter when doing physical activities. Conclusion : There was an increase in the patient’s energy and nutrient intake as well as the patients nutritional status after the TETP diet modification was carried out by providing hospital formula liquid food as morning and afternoon snacks
