This condition may be influenced by several factors, including infectious diseases, income, education level, maternal age, interpregnancy interval, parity, and antenatal care visits. Objective: This study aimed to identify the factors associated with the occurrence of Chronic Energy Deficiency among pregnant women. Methods: This study employed a quantitative research method with a case–control design and a retrospective approach. The study subjects consisted of 100 pregnant women, including 50 respondents in the case group and 50 respondents in the control group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire covering infectious diseases, income, education level, maternal age, interpregnancy interval, parity, and antenatal care visits. Data Analysis: Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. Results: The results of the chi-square test showed that infectious diseases (p = 1.000), income (p = 1.000), education level (p = 0.212), maternal age (p = 1.000), parity (p = 0.435), and the number of antenatal care visits (p = 0.635) were not associated with the occurrence of CED. However, the interpregnancy interval (p = 0.025) was significantly associated with the occurrence of CED. Conclusion: The interpregnancy interval showed a significant association with Chronic Energy Deficiency, while infectious diseases, income, education level, maternal age, parity, and antenatal care visits were not significantly associated with the occurrence of CED among pregnant women.
2026-06-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 vina ulfah vina ulfah, Yuswati, Muhana Rafika, Ika Amalia Bonita https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/Nutriture/article/view/5674 Efek Pemberian Formula F-75 dan F-100 pada Anak Malnutrisi Penyerta Bronkopneumonia: Studi Kasus 2026-04-13T08:40:38+00:00 nuha khairunnisa nuhakhairunnisa213@gmail.com Setyo Prihatin Setyo_prihatin2003@yahoo.com Meirina Dwi Larasati meirinadwilarasati@poltekkes-smg.ac.id Mohamad Jaelani 10jaelani@gmail.com
Background: Malnutrition among children under five remains a major public health problem in Indonesia. Severe malnutrition accompanied by pulmonary infections such as bronchopneumonia is still frequently encountered in healthcare facilities. These conditions interact in a vicious cycle in which infection increases energy requirements and worsens nutritional status, while malnutrition impairs immunity, aggravates disease severity, and increases mortality risk. Therefore, appropriate nutritional management is essential to support recovery and improve clinical outcomes. Objective: This case study aimed to describe the implementation of nutritional intervention using WHO therapeutic formulas (F-75 and F-100) to improve body weight in a child with malnutrition and bronchopneumonia. Methods: A case study was conducted on a pediatric patient diagnosed with malnutrition and bronchopneumonia. Energy and macronutrient requirements were calculated according to WHO recommendations. Nutritional intervention was provided through phased administration of WHO therapeutic formulas, starting with F-75 during stabilization and followed by F-100 during rehabilitation. Monitoring and evaluation included daily body weight measurements, documentation of formula intake, and dietary assessment using 24-hour recall and Comstock methods. Results: Administration of F-75 and F-100 improved nutritional status, resulting in a body weight gain of 7.2 g/kg/day, indicating an adequate response to treatment. Macronutrient intake also increased during hospitalization, reflecting improved nutritional adequacy. Conclusion: WHO therapeutic formulas F-75 and F-100 effectively improved body weight gain and macronutrient intake in a child with malnutrition and bronchopneumonia, supporting recovery during hospitalization.

2026-06-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 nuha khairunnisa, Setyo Prihatin, Meirina Dwi Larasati, Mohamad Jaelani https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/Nutriture/article/view/5513 Mutu Gizi dan Daya Terima Terang Bulan Ubi Kuning Balita Wasting 2026-04-23T05:03:03+00:00 Tri Setyowati trisetyowatigizi@gmail.com Sugeng Iwan Setyobudi -@gmail.com
Background: Overweight in adolescence is a significant nutritional problem because it can persist into adulthood and increase the risk of obesity-related diseases. According to the Regulation of the Head of BPOM Number 17 of 2022 concerning the Amendment to BPOM Regulation Number 23 of 2019, the use of hydroquinone is not permitted for direct application to the skin, which necessitates further research to identify its presence in whitening creams. This study utilized the Thin Layer Chromatography method in reference to the Regulation of the Head of the Food and Drug Authority of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.03.1.23.08.11.07.331 of 2011 concerning Methods of Cosmetic Analysis. The results showed that the Rf values for the seven samples—consisting of samples labeled with BPOM registration numbers (S2 and S6), labeled samples without registration numbers (S3, S4, and S5), and unlabeled samples (S1 and S7)—were 0.2 for S1, 0.25 for S2, 0.38 for S3, 0.21 for S4, 0.18 for S5, 0.19 for S6, and 0.20 for S7. These test results confirmed that 6 out of the 7 whitening creams tested, specifically samples S1, S2, S4, S5, S6 and S7, were positive for hydroquinone, demonstrating that many whitening creams containing this substance are still circulating in the Proppo District Market.
2026-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Oktaviana Rohmadhani, Riska Yudhistia Asworo, Muhammad Hasan Wattiheluw
