Uji Daya Hambat Ekstrak Etanol Daun Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) terhadap Propionibacterium acnes

Abstract

Latar belakang : Binahong (A. cordifolia) mengandung senyawa Flavonoid, Alkaloid, Asam Oleanolik, Protein, Asam Askorbat, dan Saponin yang mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri daun Binahong (A. cordifolia) terhadap Propionibacterium acnes. Metode : Ekstrak daun Binahong (A. cordifolia) yang diperoleh dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol 96% kemudian dibuat dalam tiga konsentrasi yaitu konsentrasi 5% b/v, 10% b/v, 15% b/v dan kontrol negatif. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun Binahong (A. cordifolia) dilakukan dengan metode diffusion disk. Pengamatan dilakukan setelah 24 jam kemudian diukur zona hambat yang muncul. Hasil : ekstrak daun Binahong (A. cordifolia) dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10% dan 15% menampakkan zona hambat terhadap P. acnes masing-masing sebesar 12 mm, 18,66 mm dan 25,66 mm. Simpulan : Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Binahong (A. cordifolia) memiliki senyawa antibakteri terhadap P. acnes
