HUBUNGAN JENIS KELAMIN DAN SUMBER INFORMASI TENTANG KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI DENGAN PERSEPSI REMAJA MENGENAI SEKS BEBAS

Abstrak

Various perceptions of premarital sexual behavior arise due to the high curiosity of adolescents, both male and female. This is related to the sources of information accessed, especially about reproductive health. This study aims to determine the relationship between gender and sources of information about reproductive health with adolescents' perceptions of premarital sexual behavior. This research method is quantitative using correlational analytic design. The sample size was 184 (92 males and 92 females) of class XI SMAN 6 Malang obtained through Proportional random sampling technique. Instruments used questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using the Chi Square test (p-value 0.000) followed by the Contingency Coefficient test (r = 0.416) means that there is a relationship between gender and adolescents' perceptions of premarital sexual behavior with moderate relationship strength. Spearman Rank test (p-value 0.001; r =0.248) means that there is a relationship between sources of information about reproductive health with adolescents' perceptions of premarital sexual behavior with weak relationship strength. Thus, gender and sources of information on reproductive health accessed by adolescents are both associated with perceptions of premarital sexual behavior. It is necessary for both male and female adolescents to have a deeper understanding of reproductive health to avoid the perception of supporting premarital sexual behavior or free sex.
