A pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted involving 47 mothers of toddlers with stunting in the Bangkalan Community Health Center area, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The findings revealed an improvement in respondents’ level of knowledge following the educational intervention. Prior to the program, most participants were categorized as having moderate knowledge (46.8%), whereas after the intervention, the majority reached the good category (72.3%). The mean score also increased by 23.94 points, from 62.55 to 86.49. These findings indicate that flipbook media is an effective health education tool for enhancing mothers’ understanding and supporting stunting management efforts among toddlers.
Dian Maulya Rosada Rekawati Susilaningrum Siti Mar'atus Sholikah Ani Media Harumi Copyright (c) 2026 Dian Maulya Rosada, Rekawati Susilaningrum http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-10-31 2026-10-31 15 2 10.31290/jpk.v15i2.6689 THE EFFECT OF ANIMATED VIDEO MEDIA ON ADOLESCENTS’ KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, AND MOTIVATION TOWARD BREAKFAST https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/jpk/article/view/6817
Breakfast is important for adolescents to support learning concentration, but it is not yet practiced regularly. This study aimed to determine differences in adolescents’ knowledge, attitudes, and motivation toward breakfast before and after education using animated video media. This pre-experimental study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design without a control group. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 201 West Jakarta, involving a population of 234 adolescents and a sample of 46 adolescents selected using purposive sampling. The pretest was administered before the animated video education, while the posttest was conducted on the third day after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for knowledge and motivation and the Paired Sample T-Test for attitudes, along with effect size analysis. The results showed differences in knowledge, attitudes, and motivation scores before and after education using animated video media (p < 0.001). The effect size was Cohen’s r = 0.557 for knowledge and Cohen’s r = 0.669 for motivation, while attitudes showed a moderate effect with Cohen’s d = 0.660. Future research is recommended to explore other factors influencing breakfast consumption and to use repeated interventions and a control group
Abdul Aziz Rosni Lubis Zahwa Romadhon Rosidawati Rosidawati Delmaifanis Delmaifanis Copyright (c) 2026 Abdul Aziz, Rosni Lubis, Zahwa Romadhon, Rosidawati Rosidawati, Delmaifanis Delmaifanis http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-10-31 2026-10-31 15 2 10.31290/jpk.v15i2.6817
