Poor sleep may impair tissue regeneration, reduce immune response, and prolong the inflammatory phase, thereby delaying wound healing. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between sleep quality and wound healing among postoperative patients at Puruk Cahu Regional Hospital. This study employed a cross-sectional design with purposive sampling. A total of 30 respondents were selected based on inclusion criteria: aged ?18 years, in the postoperative recovery phase, able to communicate, and willing to participate. Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), while wound healing was evaluated based on recovery duration until complete healing. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation test. The majority of respondents were late elderly (30.0%) and male (73.3%). Most patients (93.3%) reported good sleep quality, with 60.0% experiencing rapid wound healing. Spearman’s test revealed a significant relationship between sleep quality and wound healing (p = 0.048). Sleep quality is significantly associated with wound healing among postoperative patients. Nursing interventions to improve sleep quality should be integrated into postoperative care protocols to optimize patient recovery.

2026-06-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dahliyana Dahliyana, Rian Tasalim https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/jpk/article/view/6003 EFFECT OF SAFE AND HALAL COSMETICS EDUCATION ON STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE: A QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AT SMK KESEHATAN BAKTI INDONESIA MEDIKA PONOROGO 2026-04-08T05:41:17+00:00 Meirysha Rachmawati Devi meirysha6@gmail.com Sulaiman Abdul Rasid sulaiman.abdul.rasid@iainponorogo.ac.id Jamus Alma'ruf jamusal87@gmail.com
Skor N-Gain rata-rata sebesar 0,5987, tergolong sedang, sedangkan persentase N-Gain sebesar 59,87%, tergolong cukup efektif. This study aimed to analyze students’ interpretative ability in tube method blood grouping examinations and to identify factors contributing to interpretation errors. A descriptive quantitative design was employed involving students who had completed blood grouping laboratory practice. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed descriptively based on technical, procedural, cognitive/analytical, and sample or reagent-related factors. The results showed that technical factors were the most frequent causes of interpretation errors, particularly difficulties in reading weak agglutination and distinguishing true agglutination from sediment or rouleaux. Procedural and cognitive/analytical factors demonstrated relatively low error rates. Sample and equipment conditions, including the quality of student-prepared red blood cell suspensions and the use of tubes that were not completely dried, also affected the clarity of examination results. It is concluded that students’ interpretative ability is influenced by technical skills, pre-analytical conditions, and the laboratory environment; therefore, instructional strategies should emphasize training in interpreting varied results and strengthening simple quality control measures.
2026-06-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Atik Kurniawati, Ni Luh Putu Eka Sudiwati https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/jpk/article/view/6156 NEWBORN PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS AND EARLY INITIATION OF BREASTFEEDING 2026-04-08T04:08:54+00:00 Hanin Tsabitah Salmadina hanin.diina@gmail.com Naimah Naimah hanin.diina@gmail.com ita yuliani ita_yuliani@poltekkes-malang.ac.id
Early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is an important first step in providing exclusive breastfeeding and has various benefits for infant health. However, IMD coverage in East Java Province in 2019 was still below the national target of 67.7% (Ministry of Health, 2020). This study aims to determine the relationship between IMD and physiological parameters of newborns. This study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was newborns at the Independent Midwife Practice (TPMB) in Malang in April–May 2024. A sample of 42 respondents was drawn using a purposive sampling technique. Secondary data were collected using documentation sheets, then analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that the majority of infants who underwent IMD had stable physiological parameters: 85% had normal body temperature, and 100% had normal heart rate and respiratory rate. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between early breastfeeding initiation (IMD) and infant body temperature (p=0.019), heart rate (p=0.000), and respiratory rate (p=0.048). These results indicate that IMD has a positive effect on the stability of newborn physiological parameters. Therefore, it is important for health workers, especially midwives, to optimize the implementation of early breastfeeding initiation (IMD) for newborns without emergency indications.

Keywords: Early initiation of beastfeeding, physiological parameters, newborns
2026-06-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 ita yuliani https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/jpk/article/view/6494 TRIAD KRR EDUCATIONAL ANIMATION VIDEO IMPROVES ADOLESCENTS' ATTITUDES AND MOTIVATION IN PREVENTING REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROBLEMS 2026-05-25T01:47:15+00:00 Novia Anjany novia.anjany@yahoo.com Tri Anjaswarni tri_anjaswarni@poltekkes-malang.ac.id
Reproductive health issues among adolescents remain a significant concern due to their limited understanding and awareness of behaviors that help prevent reproductive health risks. This study aims to analyze the effect of education through animated videos on the Adolescent Reproductive Health Triad on adolescents’ attitudes and motivation toward preventing reproductive health issues. This study employs a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of 45 respondents at Sabilurrosyad Islamic High School, selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The research instruments used a Likert-scale questionnaire for attitudes and motivation, while data analysis was performed using a Paired t-Test. The results showed that after receiving the animated video education, all respondents experienced an increase in their attitudes to the positive category and their motivation to the good category. The analysis results showed a significance value of p < 0.001, indicating that animated video education has an effect on improving adolescents’ attitudes and motivation regarding the prevention of reproductive health issues.
2026-06-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Novia Anjany, Tri Anjaswarni
