This process leads to various physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial changes that affect the independence and health of the elderly. A decline in their independence is a critical indicator of health problems in the elderly, particularly in Activities of Daily Living (ADL), such as eating, bathing, walking, using the toilet, and dressing. The family plays a crucial role in developing, preventing, adapting to, and addressing health and independence issues in the elderly. This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach and an accidental sampling technique, involving 61 respondents. The research instruments included questionnaires to measure family roles and the Barthel Index. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square correlation test with SPSS IBM version 25. The results showed that 36.10% of the elderly with good family support were in the independent ADL category, 1.6% had mild independence, and none were in the moderate category. The chi-square statistical test revealed a p-value = 0.000, indicating a significant relationship between family roles and the independence of ADL in the elderly in Sumberagung Village, Selorejo District, Blitar Regency. Family roles are one of the key factor influencing the quality of life of the elderly by maintaining their independence and improving their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Active family involvement is essential in maintaining elderly independence. Programs such as family training can be implemented to enhance the role of families in sustainably supporting elderly ADL independence.
Citra Suryani Reny Tri Febriani Sismala Harningtyas Copyright (c) 2025 Citra Suryani, Reny Tri Febriani, Sismala Harningtyas http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-12-10 2025-12-10 11 2 203 209 The Impact of Leadership Training on Nurse Satisfaction and Healthcare Outcomes in Management Clinics: A Cross-Sectional Study https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JKT/article/view/5733
The method used was observational and a cross-sectional approach with purposive sampling techniques with a total of 47 families and patients with bullying events. Results: The p-value (0.942) was greater than alpha (0.05), indicating that there was no significant relation between family support and patient resilience to bullying events. In addition, pearson's product moment (r) correlation coefficient of 0.011 indicates a very low level of link between family support and resilience levels. It concludes that a weak relationship in the form of changes in family support has a weak impact on patient resilience bullying events and insignificant relationships.
Rina Mustikasari Dina Dewi Sartika Lestari Muhammad Soenarto Copyright (c) 2025 Rina Mustikasari, Dina Dewi Sartika Lestari, Muhammad Soenarto http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-11-26 2025-11-26 11 2 162 169 Analysis Of Nurses' Workload And Stress And Its Relationship To Work-Life Balance Perioperative Nurses https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JKT/article/view/6047
Workload and stress for nurses in hospitals, especially in operating rooms, are conditions that require special attention. This is important because nurses working in operating rooms face high work demands, which can cause stress. If not managed properly, this stress can have a negative impact on nurses' performance and work-life balance. Objective: This study aims to analysis the relationship between workloads and work-related stress with the quality of work-life balance among perioperative nurses at Lavalette Hospital in Malang. Methodology: This study employs a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consists of all perioperative nurses at Lavalette Hospital in Malang, using total sampling involving 34 respondents. Data analysis used the Spearman's rank correlation test. Research results: There was a significant relationship between workload and work-life balance with a p-value of 0.001 (< 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of r = -0.535 (strong relationship). Similarly, there was a significant relationship between work stress and work-life balance with a p-value of 0.002 (< 0.05) and r = -0.514 (strong relationship). The negative correlation indicates that the higher the workload and work stress experienced, the lower the level of work-life balance among perioperative nurses. Conclusions and Recommendations: Ongoing efforts are needed from nurses to enhance their competencies, implement effective time management, and optimize work stress management. For healthcare institutions, it is recommended to regularly enhance nurses' capacity through training, provide performance- based rewards, and establish effective communication regarding career progression
Hikmatul Zainiyah Tri Anjaswarni Tri Johan Agus Yuswanto Kissa Bahari Copyright (c) 2025 Hikmatul Zainiyah , Tri Anjaswarni, Tri Johan Agus Yuswanto, Kissa Bahari http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-12-04 2025-12-04 11 2 170 179 The Relationship Nurse Characteristics and Critical Thinking Ability in Caring for Mentally Disordered Patients with Comorbidities at RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JKT/article/view/5933
Mental disorders with comorbidities are complex, chronic, and debilitating conditions that lead to complications.
