HUBUNGAN KADAR ASAM URAT DENGAN KADAR GULA DARAH PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR PREDIABETES

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Asam urat merupakan hasil akhir dari metabolisme purin. Pada kondisi kadar tinggi, asam urat masuk ke dalam sel dan bertindak sebagai oksidan, serta berperan sebagai faktor risiko independen dan memprediksi kejadian diabetes melitus tipe 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kadar asam urat dengan kadar gula darah pada wanita usia subur prediabetes.


Subjek dan Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Lokasi penelitian di Kota Malang. Besar sampel sebesar 100 wanita usia subur dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Variabel dependen adalah kadar gula darah wanita usia subur prediabetes. Variabel independent adalah kadar asam urat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemeriksaan kadar asam urat dan kadar gula darah puasa pada subjek penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi pearson.


Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kadar asam urat berhubungan dengan kadar gula darah pada wanita usia subur prediabetes (r=0.21, p=0.039) dan secara statistic signifikan.


Keseimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kadar asam urat dengan kadar gula darah pada wanita usia subur prediabetes.
