Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Article written for Jurnal Informasi Kesehatan Indonesia is a research report in the health field containing a summary of the research conducted in the last 5 (five) years.
  2. Articles are written in Indonesian. Manuscripts are typed in Microsoft Word program, Times New Roman letters, size 12 pts, single spaced, via e-mail to jiki @ poltekkes-malang.ac.id
  3. The research report is systematically written as follows: title, researcher name, abstract in English and Indonesian accompanied by keywords, introduction, research methods, results of the research, discussion, closing, bibliography.
  4. The title of the article cannot be more than 14 words. Titles are printed with capital letters with the letter size of 14 pts.
  5. The name of the author of the article is written without academic title, accompanied by affiliation, placed below the article title. In a script written by a team, the editor only relates to the main author whose name is listed first. The main author must include a correspondence address or e-mail address.
  6. Abstracts and keywords are written in two languages ​​(Indonesian and English). The length of each abstract is 150-200 words, while the number of keywords is 3-5 words. Abstract contains the objectives, methods and results of the study.
  7. The introduction section contains background, research context, literature review results, and research objectives. All introductions are presented in an integrated manner in paragraphs, with a length of 15-20% of the total length of the article.
  8. The method section contains explanation about research design, data sources, technique of data collection and data analysis that are clearly performed by researchers, with a length of 10-15% of the length of the article.
  9. The research results section contains exposure to the results of the analysis relating to the research question. Every research result must be discussed. The discussion contains the meaning of results and comparisons with similar theories and/or research results. The length of exposure to the results of the discussion is 40-60% of the article.
  10. The closing section contains research findings in the form of answers to research questions or in the form of summary results of the discussion and presented in paragraph form.
  11. The references only contain the referenced sources, and all sources referred to must be listed in the reference list. The references used are primary sources in the form of research articles in journals or research reports (including thesis and dissertation). Books used as references must be published in the last 10 years.
  12. Referrals and citations use enclosed reference techniques (last name, year) with APA models, for example: (Tsen, Lin, and Chi 1998). We recommend to use a reference manager tools such as Mendeley
  13. Indonesian-language articles must use Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan as guidance
  14. All texts are reviewed anonymously by Bestari partners/expert editors appointed by the chief editor according to their expertise. One article is edited by two expert editors and if the two editors disputed it, the recommendation of the third editor is used. The author of the article is given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) to the text on the basis of recommendations/suggestions from expert editors.
  15. Everything related to the licensing of quotations or the use of computer software for the production of manuscripts or other matters related to Intellectual Property Rights carried out by the author of the article, along with legal consequences that may arise as a result, are the full responsibility of the article's author.
