Adolescent nutritional status can be evaluated through anthropometry, specifically by measuring Body Mass Index (BMI) by calculating Body Weight and Height, which are reliable indicators for measuring body fat in children and adolescents. This activity aims to assess nutritional status through screening and raise awareness about the importance of consuming date soy milk as an antioxidant-rich food. The target of this activity is adolescent girls at SMK dr. Soebandi. The methods used in this program include: (1) Nutritional status screening, starting with measurements of Body Weight, Height, and Upper Arm Circumference. (2) Providing information and education on balanced nutrition and anemia prevention. (3) Offering guidance on how to prepare date soy milk independently. (4) Distributing date soy milk to adolescent girls, with one bottle (250 ml) to be consumed daily for 7 days to prevent anemia. The adolescents were very enthusiastic and actively participated in the activities, receiving valuable information and education from the nutritional status screening results. Adolescents with suboptimal nutritional status will receive nutritional counseling, monitoring, and consultations with expert teams.
Yuni Handayani Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 73 83 10.31290/jidaman.v9i2.5359 HEALTH-FIELD CADRES EMPOWERMENT FOR PREVENTION AND EARLY DETECTION OF COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5469
Currently, the number of mental health problems in Indonesia is more and more increased. Health-field cadres have important roles in taking part in preventing and early detecting community mental health problems. This community service aimed to improve the ability of health-field cadres in preventing and early detecting community mental health problems in the Bantur Primary Health Center, Malang. The results showed that the ability of health-field cadres before training program is low; conversely, after the training program, there was a significant improvement of knowledge and skills in preventing and detecting community mental health problems. We suggest Bantur Primary Health Center make planning a training program for other health-field cadres; so, the number of health-field cadres who can prevent and early detect of community mental health problems will be higher. Innovation in developing android-based applications for early detection of community mental health problems also need to start to address distance and infrastructure barriers.
Kissa Bahari Dyah Widodo Soebagijono Soebagijono Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 84 94 10.31290/jidaman.v9i2.5469 PREVENTING STUNTING THROUGH ASSISTANCE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN WITH CHRONIC ENERGY DEFICIENCY https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5968
: Stunting is dwarfism or short stature characterized by growth failure in children under five years of age (toddlers) due to chronic malnutrition and repeated infections, especially during the first 1,000 days of life (HPK), from the fetus to 23 months of age. A child is classified as stunted if their length or height is below minus two standard deviations of the length or height of children of the same age. The purpose of this activity is to provide assistance to pregnant women with KEK in an effort to prevent stunting using appropriate and sustainable methods. According to SKI in 2023, the prevalence of stunting in Jember is 29.7 percent. In March 2023, the number of stunted toddlers at the Mangli Community Health Center was 18.97% or 294 toddlers, making the Mangli Community Health Center the second highest in terms of stunting cases in Jember Regency. Assistance activities for pregnant women with KEK showed that most respondents were malnourished and had limited understanding of the impact of KEK. After the intervention, there was an increase in knowledge levels (from 30% to 60%), a decrease in anemia (from 53% to 37%), and an increase in the regularity of iron tablet consumption (from 77% to 87%). This support program can be continued with a focus on practical nutrition education, routine monitoring of pregnant women's status, and family involvement in supporting nutritional fulfillment for stunting prevention.

Keywords: stunting, pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency
Riza Umami Dian Aby Restanty Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 96 101 PREPARING ALUMNI TO PIONEER MIDWIFERY ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH POSTPARTUM MASSAGE AND SPA ENTREPRENUERSHIP: ENCOURAGING MIORI TO ACHIEVE DREAMS (YEAR III) https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5056
To address the discomforts experienced during the postpartum period, when mothers must adapt to their bodies returning to their pre-pregnancy state, along with adjusting to their new roles and the challenges of breastfeeding, several therapies can be undertaken. One such therapy is postpartum and lactation massage. In line with the vision of Kediri Midwifery Study Program Campus IV, which is "To Produce Civilized Midwife Graduates, Excellent in Entrepreneurship, and Globally Competitive," it is meaningful to support alumni who remain dedicated to their profession as well as those who are aspiring to start their own businesses by providing training in Postpartum and Lactation Massage. This training is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, offering guidance to alumni until they can independently run their businesses and even create job opportunities for their peers. This three-day activity was held at the Entrepreneurship Laboratory of Campus IV, Kediri Midwifery Program, Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang. On the first day, participants received materials on the physiology and psychology of postpartum mothers, lactation management, lactation counseling, and simulations of postpartum and lactation massage. The second day focused on Business Management and Digital Promotion, while the third day involved direct simulations of postpartum and lactation massage on postpartum patients. The training was attended by 15 participants. The outcome of this community service activity was an increase in participants' knowledge, as demonstrated by the average pre-test score of 74, which rose to 94 in the post-test.

Keywords: Postpartum Massage, Lactation Massage, Digital Promotion, Business Management
Rahajeng Siti Nur Rahmawati Indah Rahmaningtyas Ira Titisari Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 102 107 COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FOR EMPOWERING RISK GROUPS IN IMPROVING INDEPENDENCE IN MANAGEMENT OF TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS IN EFFORTS TO PREVENT COMPLICATIONS IN THE MOJOLANGU AREA, MALANG CITY https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5062
Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 is a metabolic disease that is growing rapidly in the world, including Indonesia. This disease can cause various serious complications if not managed properly, such as heart disease, kidney damage, and visual impairment, which not only reduce the quality of life of sufferers but also increase the economic burden on families and communities. Currently, public awareness of the importance of prevention and proper management of diabetes is still low. Many sufferers are not aware of the importance of healthy lifestyle changes, such as maintaining a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and routine health checks. In fact, diabetes complications can actually be prevented with early detection and effective management. Community empowerment, especially at-risk groups, is an important approach to improving knowledge and skills in diabetes management, while encouraging active participation from various parties, including families, communities, and health workers. Through counseling, independent training, and community-based programs, the community is encouraged to independently prevent complications and create an environment that supports a healthy lifestyle, one of which is the Community Partnership Program for Empowering Risk Groups in Increasing Independence in Managing Type II Diabetes Mellitus Management in Efforts to Prevent Complications at the Mojolangu Health Center, Mojolangu Village, Malang City..

Keywords: empowering, DM Type II, complications
Fiashriel Lundy Farida Halis Siti Aisyah Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 109 119 10.31290/jidaman.v9i2.5062 EDUCATION ON THE BENEFITS OF HYPNOTHERAPY FOR ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5334
Gangguan kesehatan mental merupakan salah satu masalah global yang setiap tahun kian meningkat. Seeing this condition, we propose processing rejected Manalagi apples as an empowerment solution, considering that these apples are abundant in Malang Regency, especially during the main harvest. Rejected quality apples, which reach 10-20% of the harvest, are often wasted. In fact, green apples have health benefits, especially for diabetics, by helping to regulate blood sugar levels and increasing metabolism.

Through this community service program, we process rejected apples into high-value products, such as syrup, jam, and pudding. With this approach, we hope to increase community income, create job opportunities, and produce new, innovative entrepreneurs who will later be able to become independent entrepreneurs.
Retno Dumilah Nur Rahman Duhita Dyah Apsari Sheilla Tania Marcelina Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 10.31290/jidaman.v9i2.5417 DIET EDUCATION TO PREVENT ANEMIA ON TEENAGERS AT SMKN 05 JEMBER https://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/idaman/article/view/5393
Abstract: Background: Anemia is a medical condition characterized by a decrease in the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin levels in the body, so that the body cannot carry enough oxygen to the body's tissues. However, the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey showed an increase in the prevalence of adolescents at risk of diabetes mellitus (DM) of up to 2.9%, while the stunting rate in Jember Regency remained at 25.4%. This situation highlights the need for innovative nutrition education that is engaging and accessible to adolescents. This community service activity aims to improve adolescent nutrition knowledge through digitalization of education as an early prevention strategy for stunting and DM. The program was implemented in Glagahwero Village, Kalisat District, involving 23 adolescent boys and girls. The methods used included creating short videos, infographics, and educational e-booklets, as well as evaluating knowledge through pre- and post-tests. Results showed an average increase in scores from 87.82% to 93.91% after the intervention. 100% of participants stated that TikTok was the most engaging and effective medium for understanding nutrition messages. Digitalization of nutrition education has been proven to improve nutritional literacy and adolescent awareness of stunting and DM prevention. This program is expected to become a model for technology-based health education at the community level.
Susilawati Susilawati Sugijati Sugijati Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal IDAMAN (Induk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan) 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 9 2 145 152 10.31290/jidaman.v9i2.6106
