Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular system diseases, followed by coronary heart disease, and several other cardiovascular disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between smoker types and hypertension levels in Kebonagung Hamlet, Tamanharjo Village, Singosari. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional research design, with a population of 65 people and a sample of 65 people. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling, namely the purposive sampling method. Researchers used data collection methods with unstructured free interviews and observation. Bivariate analysis in this study was carried out using the Chi-square test. The results of this study show: 1. There were 33 smokers as active smokers and 32 people as passive smokers with the highest frequency at the age of 56-65. 2. Among active smokers who experienced mild hypertension were 36.4%, moderate hypertension was 42.4%, and severe hypertension was 21.2%. Meanwhile, for passive smokers who experienced mild hypertension were 46.9%, moderate hypertension was 25%, and there was no severe hypertension 28.1%. 3. The results of the bivariate analysis of the Chi-Square Test showed a p-value sig (2 sided) of 0.332 > ? 0.05, indicating that there is no relationship between smoker type and hypertension level in Kebonagung Hamlet, Tamanharjo Village, Singosari.
2025-06-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Indonesian Journal of Applied Healthhttps://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/IJAH/article/view/5046RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRELOADING FLUID ADMINISTRATION AND INTRAOPERATIVE HYPOTENSION INCIDENTS IN MAJOR SURGERY PATIENTS WITH SPINAL ANESTHESIA2025-06-07T15:12:29+00:00Hanum Mitasarihanummitasari@gmail.comSumirah Budi Pertamisumirah_budi@poltekkes-malang.ac.idSulastyawati Sulastyawatisulastya78mustafa@gmail.comNurul Hidayahnh730615@gmail.com
Surgery using spinal anesthesia or Subarachnoid Block (SAB) can cause acute vasodilation due to the blockade of the sympathetic nervous system, which increases the capacity of peripheral blood vessels, thereby reducing venous return and causing acute hypotension. This study aims to determine the relationship between preloading fluids administration and intraoperatif hypotension incidence in major surgery patients with spinal anesthesia. This is a non-experimental quantitative study with a cross-sectional correlation approach. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used observation sheets, a watch, and a tensimeter/NIBP. The study uses the Chi-square test (?=0.05). The results of this study show that the majority of respondents who were given preloading fluids amounted to 26 respondents (65.4%) from 43 respondents. Meanwhile, those who experienced intraoperatif hypotension amounted to 23 respondents (53.3%) from 43 respondents. The Chi-square test results showed a p-value of 0.004, indicating a significant relationship between preloading fluids administration and intraoperatif hypotension incidence in major surgery patients with spinal anesthesia at Lavalette Hospital. It is hoped that health practitioners, especially anesthesia nurses, will pay attention to preloading fluid needs according to the condition of major surgical patients with spinal anesthesia in preventing intraoperative hypotension.

2025-06-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Indonesian Journal of Applied Healthhttps://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/IJAH/article/view/5439THE EFFECT OF EARLY MOBILIZATION ON PAIN LEVELS IN POST-LAPARATOMY SURGERY PATIENTS IN THE SURGICAL INPATIENT ROOM2025-06-07T15:23:19+00:00Kurniawan Putrakurniawan@gmail.comDyah Widododyahwidodo@poltekkes-malang.ac.idSulastyawati Sulastyawatisulastya78mustafa@gmail.comMarsaid Marsaidmarsaidsaid411@gmail.com
Complications that occur in post-laparotomy patients can include impaired tissue perfusion with thrombophlebitis, damage to skin integrity and protection problems in the form of pain. Postoperative pain occurs due to an inflammatory process that can stimulate pain receptors, which release chemicals in the form of histamine, bradychymine, prostaglandins, which cause pain in the patient. When suffering from pain, the patient will feel uncomfortable, if not treated immediately, the pain will have a negative impact on the lung, cardiovascular, digestive, endocrine and immune systems. This study aims to determine the effect of early mobilization on pain levels in patients after laparotomy surgery. The research design uses a pre-test and post-test control group design. The total research sample was 32 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument for measuring pain levels uses NRS (numerical rating scale). Pain response was measured before and after early mobilization. The statistical test used is the independent T-test. The results of the Independent T-test show a P-value of 0.000 < 0.005, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of early mobilization on the patient's pain level after laparotomy surgery. Based on the results of this research, early mobilization can help patients minimize pain so that the disease healing process will be shortened and it is hoped that hospitals will implement SOPs for early mobilization to reduce pain.
2025-06-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Indonesian Journal of Applied Healthhttps://ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/IJAH/article/view/4678RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND PATIENT COMPLIANCE LEVEL IN CARE FOR DIABETES MELLITUS WOUNDS IN A DIABETES MELLITUS SPECIALIST WOUND CARE HOME IN MALANG CITY2025-06-07T15:33:07+00:00Windy Tiara Ramadhantiwindytiara1711@gmail.comSupono Suponoonopspmb10@gmail.comAnggun Setyarinianggunsetyarini@poltekkes-malang.ac.idMaria Diah Ciptaning Tyasmaria@yahoo.com
Non-compliance in caring for diabetic wounds can affect the length of the wound healing process in diabetic patients, lack of family support is thought to be the cause of patient non-compliance in carrying out diabetes mellitus wound care. The aim of the study was to determine the factors associated with dietary compliance in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Mojolangu Health Center. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling technique with a total sampling of 40 respondents. The independent variable factors related to dietary adherence are gender, education, knowledge, and family support and the dependent variable is DM dietary adherence. Results: The results showed that 32 respondents (80%) adhered to the DM diet and 8 respondents (20%) did not comply. From the results of the chi-square correlation test, it was found that the p value was 0.237 > 0.05 indicating that there was no relationship between gender and diet adherence to type 2 DM. The results of the Spearman rho test showed that there was a relationship between education (p value = 0.047, r = -0.316), knowledge (p value = 0.003, r = 0.454), and family support (p value = 0.003, r = 0.445) with dietary compliance with type 2 DM. Conclusion: Factors associated with dietary compliance in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus are education, knowledge, and family support. Suggestion: It is hoped that the Mojolangu Health Center can improve health services for the community, such as providing education about adherence to the DM diet through electronic media, such as showing interesting educational videos when control patients are in the poly.

2025-06-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Indonesian Journal of Applied Health
