Abstract

Breast cancer including cancer is the most widely talked about because of the violence that often ends with death. The goal that will be intervened in this study is women with breast cancer. Where breast cancer is the most common cause of death among women. One of the prescribed dietary therapies is the provision of nutritional counseling to help patients deal with dietary problems about cancer. Objective: The purpose of this research is to know the influence of nutritional counseling on the level of cancer knowledge, consumption levels (energy, protein, vitamin C) in breast cancer patients with chemotherapy in Malang city. Design: This research uses the Quasi Experimental Design method by using the Pretest-Postest design Randomized Control Group Design with a total control group of 10 respondents, a 10-respondent treatment group. Cancer knowledge of the diet is measured by using a questionnaire characterized by the increasing of cancer respondents diet knowledge. The intake of energy, protein, vitamin C is measured by a 24-hour recall. Result: The results showed that Itian nutritional counseling provides a significant effect on the level of cancer knowledge, energy consumption levels, protein and vitamin C
